During a visit to South Korea, Nvidia concluded strategic, multi-year technology partnerships with several local technology and industrial companies. Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s chief executive, met with leaders including SK Csoport elnökével Cshö Tevonnal as part of the trip. Named partners include SK Hynix, Naver, SK Telecom and LG Group. SK Hynix: at least a two-year technology partnership
SK Hynix signed a multi-year technology partnership with Nvidia to develop advanced memory types for global AI data centers. The agreement runs for at least two years and includes an option to extend. Jensen Huang noted that SK Hynix is Nvidia’s largest memory partner and said the current annual procurement volume — already measured in billions of dollars — is expected to grow substantially.
An analyst at NH Investment & Securities commented that the SK Hynix–Nvidia partnership underscores a shift in the memory market: chips are evolving from mass-market commodities into more customer-specific, bespoke products.
SK Telecom to build Nvidia-based AI cloud infrastructure
SK Telecom plans to build gigawatt-scale AI cloud infrastructure in South Korea based on Nvidia technology. The first data center is expected to begin operations in 2027.
Naver and Doosan adopt Nvidia technology
Naver and Doosan will also use Nvidia technology for their own data-center developments. Doosan — which supplies materials for Nvidia’s latest and highest-performance Blackwell chips and is active in robotics development — expects its energy solutions will be integrated into Nvidia data-center platforms.
LG Group collaboration on humanoid robots and data-center architecture
Nvidia and LG Group will work together to develop electronic and mechanical systems and artificial intelligence for humanoid robots. Huang said the companies will cooperate across the full architecture of future data centers, from cooling and power systems to design phases.
Additional meetings and nondisclosed financial terms
During his visit, Huang also held talks with Cson Jonghjon, who leads Samsung’s semiconductor business, and with Csong Iszon, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group. Financial details of the agreements were not disclosed by the parties.
The announcements reflect the central role of memory markets and data-center infrastructure development in the expansion of artificial intelligence, and indicate major chip and technology firms are forming strategic partnerships to secure supply and scale their platforms.
