A Gallup survey shows that use of artificial intelligence (AI) among American workers has been rising, even as many remain concerned about the technology’s long-term effects.
According to Gallup’s data for the second quarter of 2026, 52% of US workers reported using AI in their jobs. Within that group, 30% said they used AI frequently and 15% said they used it daily. Gallup notes this represents a steady increase compared with the first quarter of 2026.
On organizational adoption, 47% of American employees said their employer had implemented AI tools to improve operations, up from 41% in the first quarter. About one-third of workers reported that AI has not been incorporated into their daily work routines.
Employees who use AI at the office most often employ it for writing and editing tasks or for research. The figures illustrate how AI is already reshaping workplaces, while workers express concern about the technology’s eventual impact on the labor market.
