Gábor Dénes University launches free course on practical AI use in office work

Gábor Dénes University (GDE) has launched a free online course titled “MI Jövünk 2. – MI az irodában” that provides practical guidance on applying artificial intelligence consciously, efficiently and safely in everyday office tasks. The six-hour program requires no prior knowledge and demonstrates how AI can save time, simplify duties and support more effective work.

What the course covers

Through concrete workplace tasks and examples, the curriculum shows how AI can be used for:

  • summarizing meetings;
  • creating presentations and market research;
  • processing Excel data;
  • real-time translation;
  • handling legal documents;
  • supporting decision preparation.

The training also offers practical advice on selecting the most appropriate AI tool for a given task, breaking down complex workflows into AI-friendly steps, and using AI agents. Participants learn to recognise indicators of incorrect or so-called "hallucinated" AI outputs. Case studies from Hungarian companies supplement the material, illustrating real-life applications.

Program background and aims

The MI Jövünk initiative aims to make practical AI knowledge widely and freely accessible. The original MI Jövünk! – A mesterséges intelligencia alapjai course, launched in 2025, introduced nearly 75,000 people to the topic and awarded more than 55,000 adult-education micro-certificates within a year.

MI Jövünk 2. shifts the emphasis toward turning AI knowledge into usable workplace skills rather than only explaining the tools themselves. Dr. Dietz Ferenc, President of Gábor Dénes University, described the course as "an easily learnable practical aid for becoming better and faster in the office while understanding security risks."

Balogh Petya, CEO of STRT Holding Nyrt., who contributed to the course content, said the material is designed to be useful at administrative, middle-management and executive levels and to present typical tasks and recommended tools for different professional areas.

Availability

The “MI Jövünk 2. – MI az irodában” course is free and available to complete at any time until 31 December 2027. The introductory MI Jövünk! – A mesterséges intelligencia alapjai course remains freely accessible until 31 December 2026 for those who are new to AI.

The program aims to equip participants with practical AI skills applicable in daily work while raising awareness of the technology’s limits and security considerations.
