The ARISA (Artificial Intelligence Skills Alliance) project, supported by the Erasmus+ programme, concluded at the end of May after four years of collaboration. The initiative, led by IVSZ – Digitális Vállalkozások Szövetsége together with 20 international partners, produced practical tools and strategies to support responsible and effective AI use in Hungary and across Europe.

Free training platforms: a central deliverable is the AI Skills Academy, offering free English-language online courses at various skill levels. Students, employees and other learners can progress at their own pace; interactive materials and self-assessment tests support autonomous study.

Executive training: the AI Fundamentals for Decision-Makers course was designed specifically for company executives, decision-makers and organizational leaders. It requires no prior IT or statistical background, can be completed in 1–2 hours, and explains the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning as well as their business applications.

Certifications: participants receive a certificate for each completed course, and completing the full curriculum leads to an Achievement Certificate.

Career support: the Career Guidance Platform launched within the project provides guidance for those interested in AI-related career paths, outlines key AI roles and required competencies, and suggests learning routes to acquire the necessary technical, business or general skills.
Skills strategy and labour market alignment
The European AI Skills Strategy developed under ARISA aims to strengthen alignment between education systems and the labour market. The project stresses that economic competitiveness increasingly depends on the availability of professionals with AI competencies.
AI adoption is no longer only a technical issue: beyond developer roles, demand is growing for professionals with business, legal and organizational skills — such as AI strategists, consultants and ethics experts. At the same time, improving leaders’ AI literacy is becoming an urgent priority.
ARISA highlights that addressing gaps between workforce supply and training offerings requires close cooperation between educational institutions and the corporate sector, and the creation of programmes that directly respond to market needs.
Standardisation and practical guidance
Working with two leading European standardisation bodies, ARISA developed standardized AI job and training profiles to help align EU regulatory expectations with corporate practice, thereby facilitating integration of AI technologies into everyday operations.
In cooperation with the EU AI Office, the project also produced the AI Literacy Practices Report, a practical guide for organisations seeking to build AI literacy — a capability the project identifies as essential for responsible, safe and effective AI use.
Why this matters
The tools and courses developed by ARISA aim to close the gap between education and the labour market and enable organisations and professionals to make practical use of AI. Free learning materials and a brief, accessible executive course are intended to support informed organisational decision-making, not just technical adoption.
Together, the project’s outputs contribute to the responsible, secure and effective spread of artificial intelligence in Hungary and across Europe.
