Webalyze aims to make offline (OOH — out‑of‑home) advertising measurable with an accuracy and cadence similar to online channels, and plans an official product launch in Q1 2027.

What the robot measured and test results

During the trial the humanoid robot used a 360° camera to scan outdoor ad inventory, including billboards, citylights and tram ads. From 36 ads on the test route the system recognized 22, a result Webalyze characterizes as strong given the busy, visually cluttered urban environment. The reported recognition rate was 61%; the largest shortcoming was recognition of double‑face roll‑up citylights, where the system only identified the first of the two rotating creatives.

By the end of the test day the platform produced four commercial data fields that customers can use:

  • the advertiser identity,
  • the communicated message (creative),
  • the precise geographic position,
  • and the timestamp of the appearance.

Technology: off‑the‑shelf hardware, in‑house software

The robot hardware is commercially available: the humanoid is a Unitree G1 and the 360° camera is also an off‑the‑shelf device. Webalyze says its core value is the machine‑vision and analytics stack: they perform real‑time detection, categorization and processing of ads from the camera feed. All software components — from recognition models to the data pipeline — are developed in‑house.

The company adds that the solution is not limited to humanoid platforms: the same camera and analytics can be mounted on vehicles, which is a more cost‑effective way to cover larger or rural areas.

Runtime, cost and physical protection

A single charge gives the robot roughly two hours of operation, covering about 5–7 kilometers depending on environment. Webalyze estimates the full cost per unit at approximately 18 million HUF, including the robot, the camera and the hardware analytics components. The firm plans to offer robots via leasing to avoid tying up client capital and to ease hardware generation upgrades.

Physical protection is multilayered: built‑in accelerometers trigger alerts on abrupt movement (impact, push, lift), at which point the company can access live camera footage remotely. The robot is tracked continuously by GPS so its location is always known.

Business model, target customers and market plan

The service will be integrated into the Webalyze.ai central platform and monetized via an AI token‑based billing model: customers pay for the volume of data they query. This approach is intended to make the data affordable for small Hungarian SMEs as well as large enterprises, because clients only pay for what they use.

Primary customer segments include brand and media buyers seeking real‑time OOH activity monitoring — FMCG and retail advertisers, media agencies, market researchers and OOH owners who want independent measurement. Geographically, the first priority market is the United States (larger ad budgets and stronger demand for B2B measurement); Hungary and the surrounding region will serve as development and reference markets.

Webalyze describes multiple commercial uses: real‑time competitor monitoring (who is advertising where, when, with what creative and product category), geographic optimization (which cities or districts to buy OOH), and linking offline ad activity to online traffic and sales. The system supports a text‑to‑SQL query layer that allows users to ask natural‑language questions of the dataset.

Political advertising and neutrality

The system recognizes and stores all offline ads uniformly, so political advertisements are part of the dataset. Webalyze emphasizes its role as a neutral data provider: whether and how clients query and use political ad data is the clients’ decision.

Company structure and short‑term goals

Webalyze LLC was founded in the second half of 2024. The company is led by two co‑CEOs; Kozma Máté is a Hungarian co‑founder and also the founder and owner of the Exaline marketing agency, which he started ten years ago. The Webalyze team currently counts six people. The company declined to publish current client and revenue figures due to ongoing negotiations.

Webalyze says it is in advanced talks with several US multinationals; the average enterprise sales cycle in that market is about 244 days, so those deals could close during 2026. For the current year the startup aims to win two US enterprise clients and onboard 70 smaller clients into its token‑based model.
