Natura launches Interface smart ring to access AI agents from your finger

Natura, an AI and hardware startup, introduced Interface, a smart ring priced at $99 that aims to provide quick access to AI agents. With a press of the finger, users can ask an agent to complete tasks, capture thoughts or get things done without taking out a phone. In addition to agent access, the ring records health metrics such as heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep stages, daily movement and step count, and skin temperature over time.

Company background and design intent

The company was founded by Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, previously the founder of Rolling Square, a tech accessories company. After years of building consumer hardware, Ferraris concluded that rapidly advancing AI required a new interface that lets people request things the way they would from another person. Natura’s earlier product, HumanPods, were AI-enabled earbuds, but the company decided a ring form factor better suits the goal of constant agent access and the latest voice technologies.

"Over time, we evolved to an understanding where you really want to have access to your agents 24/7. You don’t want to have even one hour of your day where you cannot access them. And the form factor of the ring is perfect for this because it’s basically an extension of you. You can go shower with it; you can sleep with it. You never take it off," Ferraris told TechCrunch.

Use cases and integrations

Natura describes a range of everyday uses: while out running you could ask the ring to start workout tracking; on waking you could check the day’s schedule; in the shower you could reorder shampoo; while dozing during TV you could turn the TV off and set a morning alarm; after recording a meeting you could have the notes sent to a colleague. Agent responses can be delivered through connected headphones, an iPhone Live Activity, or the NatureOS app.

Interface will connect to multiple AI agents and apps at launch, including Meta’s Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Claude, ChatGPT and more. Users can route specific tasks to different agents — for example, ask Claude to write code, Instinct to book a reservation, and Grokbot for another task. The ring can also be used to control devices such as computers.

Ferraris expects that, ultimately, many tasks now done on screens will be handled by AI agents through simple voice requests, potentially replacing actions like filling forms, messaging in apps, locating files and drafting presentations.

Pricing, availability and subscription

Pre-orders are expected to open next month, with shipping planned for December or January. The launch price is $99, but Natura intends to raise the price later; the company’s immediate priority is to get the device into users’ hands to build usage and demand.

Natura plans an initial free period of three to six months for the service; after that it will charge a monthly subscription fee of $9.

Hardware and battery

Natura says the ring’s manufacturing costs are comparable to products like the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring because many components are similar. Still, the company is introducing Interface at a lower price to lower the barrier to entry.

The device is rated for 6–12 days of battery life on a full charge, depending on usage, and takes about 100 minutes to fully recharge.

Market positioning

The smart ring market currently features health-focused players such as Oura, Ultrahuman and RingConn, and AI-focused entrants like Pebble and Vocci. Natura positions Interface as a hybrid: it combines advanced health tracking with agent communications, meeting recordings and external memory in a small form factor with extended battery life.

"This ring that we’re about to launch is significantly different compared to any other ring out there today because we were able to combine not only the highest quality health tracking with the rest of the components that allow for agent communication and meeting recordings and external memory, but we were also able to do that with an incredibly long battery life, which is vital for a product like this, and in a size that is very, very small," Ferraris said.

Natura aims to offer a more natural, always-available interface that helps people look up from their screens while completing everyday tasks more quickly and organically.
