Revolut adds ChatGPT Go to subscriptions — three months free for Standard, up to 12 months in higher tiers

Revolut announced that it will include OpenAI's ChatGPT Go in its subscription packages. According to the company's Thursday statement, Standard account holders who are eligible can activate three months of free ChatGPT Go access via the Revolut app.

What ChatGPT Go offers and why it matters

Revolut cited that more than 900 million people worldwide use ChatGPT each week, motivating the decision to bundle the service into its subscriptions. ChatGPT Go provides higher usage limits compared with the free tier: it enables longer conversations, processing of larger documents, uploading more files and images, and image-generation features, without the constraints of the free offering.

Enhanced offers for higher tiers

The company said that Plus, Premium, Metal and Ultra subscribers receive more favorable terms: in those higher-tier plans, ChatGPT Go can be available free for up to 12 months. Revolut also bundles additional digital subscriptions and partner discounts with these packages; the firm states the combined value of these extras can reach up to 3.36 million forints.

Key conditions: eligibility and automatic renewal

The promotional access is available only to customers whose previous ChatGPT subscription has been inactive for at least three months. Customers who had an active ChatGPT subscription within the past three months must wait until that period has elapsed before they can take up the Revolut offer. Revolut also warned that, after the complimentary period ends, the ChatGPT Go subscription will automatically renew at the current monthly price unless the user cancels it in the meantime.

Market and strategic context

In its statement, Revolut said it aims not just to help customers manage finances but also to assist with everyday tasks. The fintech continues to pursue significant European growth — targeting 150 million European customers — and counts Hungary among its ten most important markets. Revolut noted that about one in four adults in Hungary has a Revolut account and said it plans further local promotions. The company also flagged its strategic partnership with Wizz Air as a successful collaboration.
