TCS to Deploy Anthropic’s Claude Across Regulated Industries and Its Workforce

Anthropic has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to provide the Claude AI assistant to 50,000 TCS employees across 56 countries and to build Claude-powered, industry-specific products for regulated sectors.

TCS to Deploy Anthropic’s Claude Across Regulated Industries and Its Workforce

Anthropic announced a partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the world’s largest technology services firms. Under the agreement, TCS will make the Claude AI assistant available to 50,000 of its own employees across 56 countries, develop Claude-powered products for clients in financial services, healthcare, the public sector and other regulated industries, and join Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network of consulting and services firms.

Why this matters for regulated industries

Regulated sectors demand high accuracy and auditability, and Anthropic says enterprises already use Claude for those reasons. TCS brings decades of experience delivering technology that complies with regulatory requirements and the global reach to deploy Claude to thousands of enterprises worldwide.

How TCS will use Claude

TCS will act as "customer zero," first deploying Claude across its own engineering, finance, legal, marketing and sales teams and using the lessons learned to shape client offerings. The company is creating a dedicated practice for the partnership that will assemble consultants, engineers and industry specialists to design and operate Claude-based systems for clients.

TCS plans to package Claude into industry-specific offerings — for example, claims processing for insurers and lending advisory for banks — and implement and operate these solutions for clients in financial services, public services, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, telecom and medical technology.

Ongoing projects and concrete examples

  • Diligenta, TCS’s UK life and pensions business, will use Claude to improve the customer experience for the more than 22 million policyholders it serves.
  • TCS’s banking and financial services product teams will use Claude Code to increase productivity in software engineering and IT operations.
  • TCS’s engineering teams will contribute reusable skills and plugins to the Claude Code ecosystem, starting with capabilities focused on claims adjudication and lending advisory.
  • TCS iON, which conducts more than 75 million assessments each year across 1,500 cities in India, will provide Claude training and certification.

He said combining Claude with TCS’s industry expertise, engineering rigor, and large-scale transformation capabilities will help customers move faster to production—especially in industries where trust, resilience and regulatory discipline are critical.

Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, said Claude was built to be safe, trusted and helpful, particularly where accuracy matters most, and that the partnership deepens Anthropic’s commitment to India, its second-largest market.

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, said the partnership reflects a shared conviction that AI will be foundational and transformative for enterprises worldwide and that combining Anthropic’s capabilities with Tata Group’s scale and trusted relationships will accelerate enterprise reinvention and prepare India’s youth with AI skills.
