Máté Márk started developing azta after a personal tax question he wanted to resolve without asking his mother. That initial, everyday problem evolved into azta, a platform that uses artificial intelligence to answer legal and tax questions for users.
Ironically, although Márk initially sought to avoid involving his mother, she later became one of his most important advisors when launching the business.
Early setbacks
According to Márk, the development process was far from smooth: he deleted azta from his computer four times. He also invested his own money into the project in the early phase — an amount he compares to the price of a better car.
Rapid business growth
The company achieved notable growth in a short period. In May their monthly revenue was about 1,000,000 forints; by October that figure had risen to 40,000,000 forints. Márk reports that the company is currently experiencing roughly 70 percent monthly growth.
azta’s role relative to professionals
One of azta’s main goals is to broaden access to tax and legal knowledge that Márk regards as relatively privileged today. He believes AI can help people navigate complex rules more easily, but he is clear that this does not mean accountants, tax advisors, or lawyers will become unnecessary.
Márk argues that technological progress may even increase the demand for specialists, because more available information tends to generate more questions. He emphasizes that professional experience and personal human contact cannot be replaced by AI. For this reason, he sees an important part of his mission as convincing professionals that azta is intended to support their work, not take it away.
For more complicated tax and legal issues he still recommends consulting a human expert, but he expects many professionals will start using azta as a tool in their practice.
Practical testing
At the Rajtvonal filming mentioned in the source, the platform was tested to observe how it operates in practice. The demonstration indicated that azta currently provides practical support to users while leaving complex judgement to professionals.
Why it matters
The azta story illustrates how a simple everyday need can lead to a technology startup that reaches significant revenue growth quickly. It also highlights the complementary relationship between AI and human expertise: AI can expand access to information but cannot replace professional judgement and experience.
