The developers of Petri, as maintainers of the project, have handed Petri's open-source alignment tool over to Meridian Labs so that development can continue independently. According to the announcement, the developers, in collaboration with Meridian Labs, also released a significant update that improves the tests' adaptability, realism, and depth.
