AI-powered mobile app aims to cut banks' sales costs and boost efficiency

At the Portfolio Financial IT 2026 conference, Kisfalvi Bence, director of banking solutions at SMP Solutions, presented a mobile application powered by artificial intelligence that he said could substantially reduce costs and improve revenues for large enterprises' sales networks.

The app was developed in collaboration with SMP Solutions' AI specialists with the aim of creating an easily integrable tool capable of reshaping traditional sales operations. Kisfalvi Bence joined SMP Solutions Zrt. in June 2025, where he serves as head of the retail banking competence center and is a member of the company's management team.

Problems the app addresses

Corporate sales networks face multiple, interconnected challenges: lengthy and expensive onboarding, high turnover in call centers and sales teams, the time-consuming need to learn and continuously update product knowledge, and a general reluctance among salespeople to perform administrative tasks. Younger employees from Generation Z also consume information differently and are less inclined to read long emails.

Companies currently rely on conventional remedies: extended e-learning programs, knowledge tests, mystery shopping, mentoring, managerial controls, complex CRM systems enhanced with data mining and micro-segmentation, product selection calculators, and BI reporting.

Key features of the SMP Solutions app

SMP Solutions groups its approach into three to four main functional areas:

  • Communication: the app generates AI-created micro-videos—seconds- to one-minute-long—that can be pushed to users for fast, targeted updates. It can condense long internal product documents (for example, 30-page files) into two-minute summary videos with subtitles and narration, requiring minimal human intervention.

  • Sales support: speech analysis provides assistance to sales staff by recommending the right product for a given client profile and supporting practice of sales techniques in training or at home.

  • Administrative support: speech-to-text functionality helps populate CRM entries or complete application forms during call-center conversations.

  • Personalized dashboards: campaigns and existing BI reports are presented in views tailored to individual salespeople to better support their daily work.

SMP Solutions highlighted a Salesforce statistic showing that 70% of CRM entries contain data older than one year and 90% of records are incomplete — issues the app aims to address.

Expected benefits and business impact

The business-case analysis identified several anticipated advantages of deploying the application:

  • more targeted sales support;
  • reduced onboarding time and costs;
  • improved management of staff turnover;
  • more effective CRM usage and administrative discipline;
  • better communication with Generation Z and a more deliberate approach to hitting targets.

Kisfalvi also noted rapid shifts in payments and broader financial digitalization, suggesting that AI-driven tools like this could deliver practical gains across multiple banking functions.

Conclusion

The SMP Solutions mobile application is designed to shorten learning curves, decrease administrative burdens, and provide tailored, real-time support to sales teams. With features such as short AI-generated videos, speech processing, CRM assistance and customized dashboards, the solution seeks to respond directly to documented CRM weaknesses and evolving employee expectations within bank sales networks.
