BUPA has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature that automatically pre-qualifies companies for European Union and bank financing opportunities. The aim is to shorten and simplify the time needed to review calls for proposals and loan products, particularly in areas such as technological development, energy efficiency, and green or digital transition.
How the pre-qualification works
The system analyses publicly available, official company data—such as company extracts, NAV (tax) information and financial indicators—to assess whether a business may meet the eligibility criteria of specific grants or loan programmes. Users do not need to complete questionnaires or upload additional documents; the pre-qualification results appear directly on the BUPA platform.
In addition to indicating which programmes may be relevant, the tool aggregates the information to estimate the total amount of grant and loan financing potentially available to the company based on the accessible data. This helps firms rapidly gauge the scale of funding they could pursue.
Proactive alerts and change tracking
Because keeping up with new schemes and changing conditions can be challenging, BUPA’s feature can also send proactive alerts: if a new funding source becomes available or the conditions of a previously relevant programme change, the system can automatically notify the user by email. Faster awareness of relevant opportunities can be an advantage when making investment decisions.
Bank and digital services that complement the tool
Alongside traditional banking products, MBH Bank supports access to EU-funded opportunities. Through the Vállalati MFB Pont Plusz network, interest-free or preferential financing options are available. The digital side is provided by BUPA, developed by MBH eFin Technologies Zrt., as a bank-independent financial management tool offering bank and invoicing integrations, financial analytics, cash-flow forecasting and monitoring of financial obligations.
The new AI-based pre-screening expands BUPA’s service set and aims to assist Hungarian companies in accessing financing.
Disclaimers and conditions
Use of the service requires BUPA registration. The information provided is not comprehensive and does not constitute an offer; MBH eFin Technologies Zrt. does not perform grant-writing or business consultancy—its service is informational. Final eligibility determinations are the responsibility of the organisation administering the call or the lender. MBH eFin Technologies Zrt. also notes that the information used by the AI may not always fully reflect the current applicable conditions.
Details of MBH Bank Nyrt.’s services are set out in its prevailing price lists, notices and general terms and conditions, available on www.mbhbank.hu and in bank branches. Specific terms for financing available via the Vállalati MFB Pont Plusz network and application requirements are on MBH Bank’s website, while programme calls are published on the national grant portal. MBH Bank Nyrt. acts as an intermediary partner of MFB Zrt., and any commitment depends on an individual credit assessment.
