According to Anthropic’s Economic Index, Korean users rank among the most active globally, placing in the top five for both total usage and per-capita usage. More than a quarter of Claude Code’s user base now comes from Asia-Pacific countries, and Korea has shown particularly strong growth: the number of active weekly Claude Code users in Korea has grown sixfold in the past four months. Anthropic describes the Korean developer community as one of its strongest worldwide; a Korean software engineer is currently the world’s top Claude Code user.
Enterprise adoption and case studies
Anthropic highlighted Korean companies that have integrated Claude into core workflows. Law&Company uses Claude to power an AI legal assistant that the firm says nearly doubles lawyer efficiency while maintaining the accuracy required for legal work. SK Telecom, Korea’s largest telecommunications company, selected Claude to build a custom AI customer service model that has become a blueprint for the telco industry.
The company also reported that the number of large business accounts in Asia-Pacific—customers that each represent over $100,000 in run-rate revenue—has grown eightfold in the past year.
Local strategy and collaboration
Anthropic said its work in Korea will align with the country’s national strategy to become a global AI leader. The company expects to work closely with Korean government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners to advance responsible AI development and deployment across key sectors.
