OpenAI is introducing the ChatGPT Work feature on web and mobile: it will be available in Pro, Enterprise and Edu subscriptions from July 9, 2026, while Plus and Business plans will receive it within a few days. The ChatGPT desktop app for Windows and Mac will include Chat, Work and Codex features globally on all plans (including the free tier); the existing Codex app will be converted into the new ChatGPT desktop app via an update to provide broader access and seamless migration.
