On July 27, 2026, Cognizant and Anthropic announced an extension of their partnership to more widely integrate Anthropic's Claude model into systems built for enterprise clients and into Cognizant's own platforms.
What the expansion includes
Under the expanded agreement, Cognizant will use Claude across industries such as manufacturing, life sciences and insurance in systems it builds and operates for clients. Cognizant will also embed Claude across its internal business and engineering platforms, scale a Claude-certified workforce through a new Frontier Certified model, and assume Global Premier Partner status in the Claude Partner Network.
The announcement stresses that successful AI integration at large enterprises requires industry knowledge, familiarity with existing systems and governance frameworks; Cognizant contributes domain context, engineering depth and delivery scale to enable production deployments.
Deployments and figures
- More than 30,000 Cognizant associates have completed Claude training.\
- Claude is being embedded into Cognizant platforms including Flowsource™, Neuro® AI Engineering and Neuro® IT Ops.\
- Flowsource, Cognizant’s full-stack engineering platform, now runs Claude Code alongside software engineers in its Spec-Driven Development module. The module directs Claude Code using project specifications, coding standards and architectural blueprints, then evaluates output before production.
Client results cited
Cognizant says it applies internal learnings to client solutions and provided examples of deployments:
- A customer experience portal for a global manufacturer delivered within six months of project kickoff.\
- An agentic contract-intelligence system for a biopharmaceutical company that in that deployment cut contract review time by up to 40 percent while raising extraction accuracy above 88 percent.\
- A risk-navigation tool that reduced work that once required hours of manual research to minutes for underwriters, saving roughly eight hours a week per person in that deployment.
Executive comments
Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant, said: "AI capability is rising faster than enterprises can absorb it, and that gap is the defining problem of this moment. Our role is to be the bridge. We bring the industry context, the engineering scale and the trust frameworks that use Claude to deliver production outcomes inside the most demanding enterprise environments. This partnership with Anthropic is about doing that for clients who need AI they can rely on, not just experiment with." (Quote provided in original English.)
Daniela Amodei, Co-Founder and President of Anthropic, said: "Deepening our partnership with Cognizant will help more companies harness AI's growing capability and deploy it in real, practical ways for their businesses. From manufacturing to the life sciences, Cognizant is bringing Claude into the everyday work of some of the world's most demanding industries—the kinds of contexts where AI can demonstrate its greatest value for humanity." (Quote provided in original English.)
Why this matters
The announcement indicates that Anthropic's Claude is being scaled into production-ready enterprise contexts via a major systems integrator rather than remaining limited to pilots. The cited deployments point to faster turnaround times, improved extraction accuracy and measurable employee time savings—tangible outcomes that can encourage adoption of AI solutions in regulated and complex industries.
