On June 11, 2026, DXC Technology announced a multi-year global alliance with Anthropic to integrate the Claude foundation model into the mission-critical IT systems it operates for banks, airlines, insurers, manufacturers and government agencies.
What DXC has already done with Claude
DXC says it first validated Claude inside its own operations before introducing it to clients. The company employs about 115,000 people across 70 countries and tested Claude under similarly strict security and compliance requirements. Claude played a major role in building DXC OASIS, the firm’s new AI-native orchestration platform: DXC reports that over 95% of OASIS’s code was generated with Claude and subsequently reviewed by software engineers.
OASIS already serves more than 50 DXC customers, and the company plans to roll the platform out to clients globally.
Paul Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at Anthropic, noted that DXC proved Claude inside its own operations first under the same security and compliance constraints its customers face, and that the partners will now bring Claude into those environments industry by industry.
Claude-certified forward-deployed engineers (FDEs)
As part of the alliance, DXC will recruit and certify tens of thousands of Claude-certified forward-deployed engineers—FDEs—who will be embedded directly within customer organizations. Engineers will be drawn from DXC’s existing development teams and certified through Anthropic Academy, Anthropic’s partner training and certification program. DXC has added its own curriculum on top of Anthropic Academy focused on the requirements of mission-critical customer systems.
Initial focus areas
The alliance will begin in four areas where DXC already runs large customer operations and where Claude can be applied today:
- Insurance: deploying agentic solutions and modernizing core systems while accounting for each customer’s business context, operating model and strategic needs.
- Modernization as a Service (MaaS): using Claude to analyze, refactor and modernize legacy codebases faster and with greater accuracy than traditional approaches.
- Cybersecurity: developing an always-on security engineer subagent for OASIS built on Claude Security to deploy across DXC’s security operations centers (SOCs).
- Application services: creating OASIS agents that embed Claude directly into the application maintenance and management environments DXC operates for enterprise customers.
Customer impact and next steps
Raul Fernandez, President and CEO of DXC Technology, said the company—whose predecessors have run critical systems for more than 50 years—knows what it takes to deliver in regulated environments. He described the alliance with Anthropic as combining trust and experience with advanced AI technology and said DXC is already using Claude across its operations and in OASIS, now scaling that capability into the mission-critical systems it operates for customers.
DXC has also joined the Anthropic Claude Partner Network, a group of consulting and services firms that bring Claude to enterprise clients. The announcement states DXC will begin training and deploying certified FDEs and expand OASIS usage and Claude-based features among its clients. The release did not provide a client-by-client schedule or detailed dates for individual deployments.
