He posted the announcement on X and included a three-minute clip that a user created with Grok Imagine.
Background to Musk’s criticism
Musk’s complaints focused largely on casting decisions; he previously labeled Nolan a “white-hating racist,” citing among other things that Lupita Nyong’o plays the role of Trojan Helen in the film. Musk said the OdüsszeiAI will be completed this year and promised a historically accurate version faithful to the art of Homer.
The film’s commercial results
Despite Musk’s attacks, Christopher Nolan’s film has so far performed well commercially: Odysseia grossed $246 million worldwide in its opening weekend. In Hungary, data from the Filmforgalmazók Egyesülete shows that nearly 87,000 people have seen the film to date, generating around 250 million forints in local box office revenue.
