How AI Is Changing Scientific Modeling

Jakob Macke, Daniel Gedon and Stefan Wahl recently demonstrate how artificial intelligence is beginning to automate and accelerate the writing, running, fitting and revision of scientific models; this enables the exploration of many different model structures and the identification of the versions that best explain the data, for example in the cases of neurons or neutron-star mergers.
