The IVSZ – Digitális Vállalkozások Szövetsége held its 2026 ordinary general assembly on May 28, 2026, in Budapest. Representatives of the association’s membership, which comprises more than 250 organizations, approved the annual reports and decided on leadership appointments.
Re-election of the president and board changes
The assembly re-elected Dr. Balázs Vinnai as president of IVSZ. Dr. Vinnai has served as president since 2020 and has been involved in the association’s work since 2007.
Members also renewed the composition of the presidency: Árpád Pikéthy, CEO of IBM Hungary, was elected as a board member and will lead the IT division; Ákos Deliága, co‑founder of Talk‑A‑Bot, was re-elected as leader of the startup–scale‑up division. Márta Matécsa, partner at McKinsey & Company’s Budapest office, joined the IVSZ leadership as a general board member, while Jenő Nieder, deputy CEO of PortfoLion Zrt., received renewed support from the membership.
Strategy emphasis: AI and innovation
On his re‑election, Dr. Balázs Vinnai stressed: “In 2026 we can no longer postpone the decision: Hungary needs a rapid, bold technological and knowledge‑based turn to belong to the regional forefront. IVSZ’s goal is to place the digital economy, the R&D and innovation ecosystem, and a high value‑added corporate culture at the center of economic policy thinking.”
The assembly underscored that the association’s professional focus will prioritize supporting artificial intelligence and innovation to accelerate the competitiveness of domestic companies and the broader digital transformation.
AI Competence Center and European projects
IVSZ Secretary General Krisztina Tajthy highlighted the continuation of the AI Kompetencia Központ (AI Competence Center) project launched in 2025. The program aims to support Hungarian software development SMEs in implementing AI‑based developments, offering expert assistance, knowledge sharing and sandbox environments for participating companies.
IVSZ remains active in several European initiatives, including DigitalTech EDIH, CyberHubs and COcyber. These programs provide training, knowledge transfer and innovation support to Hungarian businesses, with particular attention to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

The refreshed leadership and AI‑centric professional agenda indicate that IVSZ intends to concentrate on advancing the digital economy, research and development, and high value‑added corporate culture in the coming period. The association’s role could be instrumental in helping domestic firms lead the technological and knowledge‑based transition to strengthen regional competitiveness.
