Samsung’s DRAM revenue rose 63.4% quarter-on-quarter, from $37.33 billion in Q1 to $60.98 billion in Q2. Its market share increased from 38.5% to 39.4% over the same period.

Fellow South Korean producer SK hynix ranked second with a 24.9% share, down from 28.8% in Q1. Nevertheless, SK hynix’s DRAM revenue grew 37.9% quarter-on-quarter to $38.59 billion.

U.S.-based Micron Technology’s market share rose from 22.4% to 23.3%, and its DRAM revenue increased 65.5% to $36.0 billion.

Overall, global DRAM revenue expanded by 59.5% from $97.01 billion in Q1 to $154.73 billion in Q2. TrendForce attributes the market growth primarily to increased shipments of various memory products.
