Adobe has expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia through a partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Humain, an AI company backed by the country’s sovereign wealth fund. Under the agreement, more than 27 million Saudi citizens and residents will receive one year of free access to Adobe’s AI-powered tools. The initiative is valued at over $4 billion.
What the offer includes
The program makes the Adobe Firefly Standard subscription and Adobe Express premium features available to the population. It also introduces a new image-generation model developed specifically for the Saudi cultural context; the model is designed to accept Arabic-language prompts so users can create visual content that is "culturally aligned."
Timing and background
The free access is planned to become available to the target group at the end of 2026. Adobe and Humain first announced their partnership in November 2025, originally aiming to develop content-creation software for Arabic speakers and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The current agreement represents the next milestone in that strategic collaboration.
Significance for Adobe
For Adobe, the deal is strategically important because expanding the user base for its AI-driven products is critical in the increasingly competitive market for creative software, where fast-growing challengers are gaining market share. The Saudi program both broadens Adobe’s reach and enables product development tailored to local language and cultural needs.
