Anthropic published an FAQ: it is introducing watermarking for the Claude models to comply with the Európai Unió artificial intelligence regulation (EU AI Act). According to the company, the method does not affect output quality, does not leave hidden characters, does not increase token usage or cost, and cannot be linked to a specific person or organization.
