Promise Group has expanded its Hungarian presence by acquiring Kontron Partner Kft. through its local unit, APN Promise Hungary Kft. Following the acquisition, the company will operate under the name Promise Enterprise Hungary Kft. starting on July 1, 2026.
Background and timeline
Preparation for the acquisition began in 2025, and the transaction was completed in the first half of 2026. The deal represents a significant step in Promise Group’s Central European growth strategy for 2025–2030, which emphasizes regional expansion and further development of Microsoft-based service offerings.
Continuity for customers
Promise Group states that existing contracts, services, CSP solutions, points of contact and support processes will remain available without change, ensuring continuity for current customers. In addition, local clients will gain access to the resources, expertise and experience of an international technology group.
Service focus: beyond licensing
Promise Enterprise Hungary will continue to provide Microsoft ecosystem solutions and will expand customer support with cloud services, AI-based technologies and cybersecurity solutions. The company highlights that market demand has shifted from pure software licensing toward business advisory, cloud migration, data platform development, cybersecurity strengthening and effective implementation of AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI.
International experience and local footprint
Promise Group currently operates in 16 countries, entered seven new markets in the past year, and supports partners worldwide with nearly 300 professionals. The group works with more than 600 partners, manages over 5,000 Azure subscriptions on its platform, and alongside Microsoft CSP distribution offers marketing, training, financing and technical support. The company has twice received the Microsoft Partner of the Year award.
Significance for the Hungarian market
The acquisition is intended to position Promise Group as a strategic technology partner for regional companies pursuing cloud-, AI- and cybersecurity-driven digital transformation, with Hungary singled out as a priority market. The transaction should accelerate local access to international resources and advanced Microsoft-based services.
