Rapid advances in robotics, digitalization and artificial intelligence are reshaping the skills required in the labor market, yet many young people do not have a clear view of how these technologies work or what careers they enable. To help close that gap, Bosch Hungary, the Mobilis Interaktív Élményközpont in Győr and Széchenyi István Egyetem ran a hands-on, practice-focused program for high school students.
Objectives and participation
The series, held for the second time, aimed to develop digital competences among secondary-school students and support them in decisions about further study and careers. The program ran between October 2025 and April 2026 and involved 43 classes and more than 1,100 pupils from the counties of Győr-Moson-Sopron, Vas, Komárom-Esztergom and Veszprém.
Approach: experiential, practical learning
Workshops were based on experiential learning: pupils explored robotics, sensors, programming and introductory artificial intelligence through creative, hands-on tasks. The initiative also emphasized teamwork, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Accompanying teachers took part in a separate closing event at the Mobilis center, where the methodology and the program’s operation were presented to educators.
Concrete projects and technologies
Participants completed several practical projects:
- LEGO-based vehicles: students built vehicles from LEGO elements and equipped them with various sensors and program code so they could carry small loads and navigate obstacle courses.
- DIY robotic vacuum: using recycled materials and 3D-printed parts, pupils assembled a robotic vacuum, fitted it with sensors and programmed it on site.
- Artificial intelligence and prompt writing: the AI sessions generated the most enthusiasm—students learned basic prompt-writing techniques, designed logos, and built simple systems capable of recognizing hand gestures, emotions and faults. They also gained an introduction to machine learning and neural networks.

Bosch Group in Hungary has a long-standing focus on supporting young people’s education and professional development. Cooperation with educational institutions is a strategic element that contributes to the domestic innovation ecosystem and showcases opportunities in technology careers.
Organizers and Mobilis management stressed that future professions will require not only up-to-date knowledge but also openness, curiosity, critical thinking, creative problem-solving and collaborative skills, including working with intelligent systems. Early, practical exposure to rapidly evolving technologies is therefore important for young people to make more confident decisions about their future.
The Győr program provided inspiration, hands-on skills and career guidance to over a thousand students while also offering teachers insight into the applied methodology and opportunities for further cooperation with industry partners.
