Samsung announced that its on-device AI, Galaxy AI, now supports the Hungarian language. With the update, Galaxy AI can perform Hungarian-language translation, transcription and summarization. Several Galaxy AI–powered features — including Call Assist, Note Assist and Now Nudge — will also recognize and handle Hungarian content.
However, Samsung made clear that this language expansion does not apply to its Bixby virtual assistant: Bixby still does not understand Hungarian, so voice-assistant interactions in Hungarian are not supported at this time.
Health app and other updates
Samsung also said its Health application received a larger update. Among the changes is an easier-to-start sleep training feature, achieved by reducing the amount of data required for the analysis. The update also brings more personalized sleep advice and expanded running-coach levels.
The company additionally noted that two new features will be delivered to Samsung phones for free at the same time, but the brief announcement did not provide further details about those features.
Rollout timing and availability
According to Samsung, the Hungarian language update for Galaxy AI will reach users "in the coming weeks." The company did not provide exact dates or a regional rollout schedule in its statement.
The change expands the availability of AI-driven Hungarian-language capabilities on Samsung devices, while the absence of Hungarian support in Bixby means traditional voice-assistant use in Hungarian remains unsupported for now.
